Hello. We are Markis & Amy Tate. We have always been an adventurous couple that love to travel and explore new places. We enjoy sharing our travel videos and photographs. We have over a hundred videos our YouTube channel called, “Tates Travel” where we post new videos often documenting the world through our cameras and with paper and pen. We also write and post our Journals from the Road right here on our website!

A few years ago we gave up tent camping and bought our first camper, a Forest River R-Pod. It was a green 17 foot lightweight camper with one slide out. For our first adventure we pulled it behind our two-door Jeep Wrangler to spend a couple weeks in the Florida Keys. What should’ve been a six hour drive turned into a nine hour drive at 55 mph.

A couple years later we upgraded to a 27 foot pull behind Coachman Freedom Express. We spent the next three years traveling, pulling it many places behind our Grand Jeep Cherokee and our Jeep Gladiator that later replaced the Cherokee.

In 2021, we started looking at Camper Vans comparing them to the smaller Class C travel motorhomes. We weren’t in the market but one day we decided to check them out. We ended up signing paperwork to have our new 18 foot 2022 Thor Scope Model 18M RV Camper van delivered to us.

We haven’t been happier! The van was dubbed, “The Aloha.” It is by far our favorite camper yet! It was the best decision we have ever made. Travel lighter, easier, faster, and CHEAPER!

Amy and I have been married for 27 years now going on 28! We have traveled by plane, train, pulling campers, and for the last three years, in the Aloha. We have had so many grand experiences traveling the United States, Canada, and the lower islands. We are looking forward to so many more years of fun and exploration. Life has turned into so much more than we expected getting outdoors everyday and every day going forward, living life! It’s short so we gotta fit in everything we can while we are here on earth. Hopefully you will get some great ideas from us, give us great ideas in return and together we can make traveling a whole lot easier, more fun, and learn from one another!
